Returns Policy

We check all our orders for quality before shipping so we hope you won’t feel the need to send anything back. However, if you do, we gladly accept returns and exchanges according to the following policy.


Distance Selling

If you purchase onine from our website then the UK Distance Selling Regulations allow you to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt. You don’t have to give us a reason but, as we love to listen, please feel free to let us know if your purchase wasn’t to your satisfaction so we can do our best to improve things in the future . If you would like to cancel or exchange your order then please follow these steps:

  1. Within 14 days of receiving your order, notify us in writing of your wish to cancel or exchange — you can do this by email but please note we are unable to accept notification by telephone or in person as valid confirmation of your intention.

  2. In your notification, let us know:

    • your order number

    • details of the item(s) you wish to return

  3. Download and complete our Returns Form.

  4. Package the item(s) up safely and post back to reach us via a tracked / insured service as we are unable to take responsibility for returned items lost in transit.

  5. Our address for returned items is: Returns, Piece it Together Design, The Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre, Hopwood Lane, Halifax, West Yorkshire HX1 5ER

  6. We must receive the returned item(s) within 14 days of your notification in order for your request to be valid. If we receive the item outside of this period you will have sacrificed your right to cancel and the item will be sent back to you at our cost.

  7. We will ship your exchange or refund you electronically within 14 days to the method in which you made your original purchase:

    • If the item(s) are in their original packaging and condition then you will receive a full refund

    • If any part of the item(s) or packaging are missing/damaged then we will notify you and reduce the refund to take this into account.

  8. Please note we do not issue cash or cheque refunds.

  9. We are unable to accept responsibility for the cost of returning an item unless it is found to be genuinely faulty or sent to you in error, in which case we will reimburse you in full, including your shipping costs.


Items that cannot be returned or exchanged

We hope you’ll understand that there are some items we are unwilling to accept as returns or exchanges because of their nature:

  • Items with bespoke and permanent customisation

  • Items on sale

  • In either case, items proven to be faulty on receipt will be refunded as per the Distance Selling guidelines above.

Having said that, we want you to be happy with your PiT design and encourage you to contact us if you have any problems or concerns with your order.
